Founding chapter of Wisconsin Campers Association, the Hartford Y-Knots have been in existence since 1959. They are well-diversified group with approximately 40 members, ranging from children to retired folks. Members are from many areas of Wisconsin. Camping homes range from pop up campers to motor homes. The Y-Knots mostly camp at private campgrounds, within a 100-mile radius of Hartford. Dominoes, ladder golf, bean bag toss, washer toss, children's crafts and activities, occasional potlucks, trick or treat, Halloween costumes, and of course a nightly campfire are just some of the activities which produce fun and camaraderie. There are also golfers and sheepshead players in the chapter. The Hartford Y-Knots camp from April through October as a group. During the winter months, the Y-Knots have a Christmas party and a chili dump. Camping to the Hartford Y-Knots is relaxation and fun-filled weekends. You are welcome to attend any of their camp outs to see what they are all about.
