| Family Camping - Wisconsin Camper's Association |
The West Bend Kettle Kampers, of Washington County, is one of the first Wisconsin Camper's Association chapters to organinze, and held its first meeting on October 29, 1963 and received its charter on June 20, 1964 at the June Campvention.
The Kettle Kampers are family oriented with 25 plus families in the chapter, ranging from tots to grandparents. Members camp in all types of units from tents to motorhomes, and select campgrounds within an 100-mile radius of West Bend. The Kettle Kampers do not camp as a group on holidays.
The Kettle Kampers usually schedule two campouts each month from May through October, in addition to the two Campventions in June and August.
Members are free to attend the campouts of their choice. Members volunteer to host campouts. Potluck on Saturday evening is the norm
unless the "host family" plans otherwise. It is up to the host family whether they choose to schedule activities and games. Members enjoy
playing cards, swimming, shopping, riding bikes, golfing or just relaxing. p>

| Arriving in StyleIt's a safe bet every kindergartner at Saukville Elementary noticed when classmates Nick Dallgas and Allan Probelski arrived for school Friday, Oct. 24, in a police squad car drived by Saukville Officer Scott Hackert. Nick (shown jumping out the squad) won the ride in a raffle during the school's fall festival. [Note: Nick was allowed to bring one friend with him] Article from Saukville Press.
