Wisconsin Camper's Association Honors Members for Dedication and Support


Wisconsin Camper's Association is a volunteer organization and its members are honored for their dedication and support of family camping. Campers receiving these awards are nominiated by individuals, chapters or Wisconsin Camper's Association officers. Awards are presented at the General Meeting of August Campvention.


Wisconsin Campers Association Camper of the Year Award - 2004

Camper of the Year Award

The Camper of the Year Award honors the camper who goes above and beyond the call of duty, while helping Wisconsin Camper's Association continue its presence as a top family camping organization. The camper must be a member for five years.


Outstanding Service Award

The honoree receives the Outstanding Service Award for his or her outstanding service for the good of the Wisconsin Camper's Association.

Service Award

The Service Award is given to members who serve in various capacities, such as helping to build and maintain equipment, and in the set up and organization of activities at the Wisconsin Camper's Association functions. In general, giving of their talents and energies for the good of camping.

Entertainer Award - 2003

Entertainment Award

The Entertainment Award is given to those who share their talents with the Wisconsin Camper's Association by simply making people happy. These campers voluntarily entertain at a moments notice for the enjoyment of all the Wisconsin Camper's Association members.


John Allen, Jr. Youth Award

The John Allen, Jr. Youth Award honors a teenager between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. The awardee should show outstanding leadership and work with the various committees and officers of the Wisconsin Camper's Association. The awardee's family must be a member for at least two years.

Mother Hen Award

The Mother Hen Award is given to those who take care of others.

Humanitarian Award - 2004

Humanitarian Award

This award goes to a member who does an outstanding job focusing
on the preservation of human life and human welfare.


Ellie Allen Publication Award

The Wisconsin Camper's Association publication award is given to a member who does outstanding work on the publication(s). Writing articles, making suggestions, selling ads, or showing superior talent and/or effort while working on any of the Wisconsin Camper's Association publications.

Campfire Award

This honor is given to a chapter that does an outstanding job of performing civic duties or helping charitable organizations while promoting the good name of the Wisconsin Camper's Association.

Helping Hands Award

This award is presented to a past officer or committee person who, after giving up their office has voluntarily returned and assumed another task.

Reporters Award

This award is given to the persons who do an outstanding job in writing chapter news or special articles for The Camper's Embers, the Wisconsin Camper's Association official newsletter.

Pioneer Award

The Pioneer Award honors the camper, who at chapter level works behind the scenes without thought of thanks for the good of the Wisconsin Camper's Association. 2003 winner not available for photo.
