We are looking to award people who volunteer their time to a chapter, and/or the WCA. If you know someone who deserves an award, write a letter and tell us about this person or persons. Awards are presented at the August Campvention. The deadline for entries is noon on June 19, 2010. Below are the categories for the awards and an explanation of each. Send your letters to: Rob and Carolyn Connolly, 8625 W. Denver Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53224 This award is given to somebody who has served at least five (5) years and has gone far over and beyond the call of duty to help make WCA the best organization.
This award is given to members who serve in various capacities, such as volunteering to help with repairing or building articles used for WCA functions, setting up or operating equipment, or in general, giving of their talents and energies for the good of WCA.
This award goes to somebody that does an outstanding job on anything to do with the preservation of human life and human welfare. This award is given to a person or persons who at chapter level, works behind the scenes without thought of thanks for the good of WCA. This is an award given to a person for an outstanding service performed for the good of WCA. This award is given to any person who does an outstanding job of writing chapter news or special articles for the Embers.

Helping Hands Award This award is presented to a past officer or committee person who, after giving up their office, has voluntarily returned and assumed another task. Ellie Allen Publication Award This award is to be giving as a WCA publication award. It shall be given to a member that does an outstanding job on any publication of WCA such as writing articles, making suggestions, selling ads, or shows superior talent and/or efforts while working on WCA publication. John Allen, Jr. Youth Award Entertainment Award This award is to honor a youth between the ages of 13 and 18. Their family should be a member of WCA at least two (2) years. They should show outstanding leadership for the youth and should work along with many committees and officers of WCA. This is given to someone who shares their talents with WCA by simply making people happy. These people entertain at a moments notice and at no charge purely for the enjoyment of all WCA members. Mother Hen Award This award is presented to a person who takes members under their wing, guides and directly them in the functions of their chapter, making sure they don't fall through the cracks. Chapter Campfire Award This award is given to a chapter who does an outstanding job of performing civic duties or helping charitable organizations while promoting the good name of WCA. |
